News - Aquatabs achieves US EPA registration

Wexford, Ireland, May 26th2011: Medentech announces that Aquatabs, the world’s leading brand of water purification tablets has been registered by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 

In order to be registered by the US EPA, the brand and supporting data is subjected to rigorous checks and tests to confirm the delivery of the product’s claims in use. This ensures compliance on efficacy, the environment and product science. Registration therefore is a long and detailed process. This registration enables Aquatabs to be sold in the USA as it meets all the criteria of the US EPA, notably an independent laboratory verification of 99.9999% bacteria kill and 99.99% virus kill and very importantly includes efficacy against cysts such as Giardia with a 99.9% cyst kill.
