The Aquatabs Emergency Response Training Programme provides training for and information about the emergency treatment of water. When a disaster occurs affecting the supply of safe water, the speedy dissemination of information, materials and products in the initial 24/36 hours of the emergency has a significant impact in reducing the toll on human life.

The Aquatabs Emergency Response Training Programme has been developed to specifically cater for rapid response in an emergency situation by training people that will be responsible for implementing disaster recovery programmes in vulnerable areas and making available relevant technical and supply information and point of sale materials.

The Aquatabs Household Water Treatment Training Programme provides training for and information about the long term disinfection of water for drinking at point of use.

Over a billion people do not have access to improved drinking water (Ref WHO). Medentech is committed to improve the quality of drinking water to those most in need around the world.

Studies have shown Aquatabs to be both effective and acceptable to indigenous peoples.  Aquatabs can be used for disinfection of fixed volumes of water, or for continuous dosing into drinking water systems, depending on local requirements
